Soy Candles, Hand-Poured in Saratoga Springs

Every candle we make is poured from 100% USA-grown soy wax in small batches in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Why soy instead of paraffin? Paraffin is a petroleum byproduct. Soy is a renewable crop grown by American farmers, and it burns cooler — which is why the same amount of wax lasts noticeably longer. Our 8 oz mason jar gives you around 40 hours; the tumbler runs about 60. Soy also cleans up with soap and warm water if it spills, and the jars are easy to reuse once the wick is spent.

What phthalate-free actually means. Phthalates are a group of chemicals used to make fragrance last longer and to soften plastics. Some have been linked to health concerns, and they're common in scented products. Our fragrances contain none. We also skip dyes, paraffin, parabens, and sulfates. If you're looking for non-toxic soy candles because someone in the house has asthma, a fragrance sensitivity, or small children and pets underfoot, this is the part that matters.

On scent throw. Soy candles have a reputation for smelling wonderful unlit and like almost nothing once burning. That reputation is usually earned. It comes down to how much fragrance the wax can hold and how carefully it's poured — so we work in small batches, control pour temperature, and fully cure every candle before it ships. It takes longer. That's why ours actually fill a room.
